Mew is a mythical species of Pokémon in Nintendo's Pokémon franchise. It is a Psychic-type Pokémon that first appeared in Pokémon Red and Blue (outside of Japan). Mew is known for its ability to learn any of the 165 available moves in the game, and it is also one of the few Pokémon to have access to the move Transform.

Mew is a particularly rare Pokémon in the game, and it cannot be caught in the wild or obtained through normal gameplay. In the original Pokémon games, the only way to get Mew was through special distributions and events held by Nintendo, or through glitches and exploits in the game.

Mew has since become a fan favorite for its unique abilities and rare status in the game. It has also appeared in numerous Pokémon movies, TV shows, and other media.
